Le programme de formation initiale à l’enseignement comporte une année d’études qui prépare à l'obtention de la carte de compétence d'enseignement de l'Ontario (brevet d'enseignement) pour les écoles franco-ontariennes et au baccalauréat en éducation (B.Éd.). La formation initiale vise à promouvoir la connaissance de l'enfant et du curriculum des écoles françaises de l’Ontario, l’articulation d’un style pédagogique personnel et une sensibilisation à des éléments culturels significatifs et distinctifs.

The Northern Ontario School of Medicine serves as the Faculty of Medicine for Lakehead University in Thunder Bay and Laurentian University in Sudbury and, upon acceptance into the MD Program, students are assigned to 1 of these 2 host universities.

Admission Requirements:

  • - Canadian citizen or permanent resident (landed immigrant).
  • - Four-year undergraduate degree. Applicants may apply in the final year of their program.
  • - Mature applicants (25 years of age or older at the time of the application deadline) may apply with a 3-year degree.
  • - Overall minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • - NOSM does not require the MCAT.
