Campus Visits
We encourage everyone to visit Algoma University. We can arrange to have you visit our campus on an individual basis, with your friends and family. Any student wishing to visit campus during the school year will have the unique opportunity of meeting students and faculty, as well as experiencing our campus community. To make sure you get the most out of your time at Algoma U, we’ll gladly personalize your tour to match your interests – you can even sit in on a class or 2. Travel Stipend
Whether you decide to drive, fly or take the bus, we’ll help cover your travel costs and pay for your hotel stay in Sault Ste. Marie. We really do believe you will love it when you visit us – that’s why we’ll help pay for your travel. Our travel stipend is as follows:
We will make the booking for you and provide you with up to 2 nights of hotel accommodations.
- If you fly, we will reimburse 50% of the cost of the student’s ticket, or
- If you drive, we will provide you with a $50 – $100 gasoline gift card when you attend your tour, or
- If you take the Greyhound bus, we will reimburse the full fare of the student’s ticket.
Note: The travel stipend is for students living more than 150 km from the main campus.
Dates & Times
September 1, 2018 – August 31, 2019
Students are encouraged to visit during the regular academic year from September to April, but we can host tours at any time of the year.
