New Programs

A constant flow of inventive new programming keeps Trent grads at the forefront of global opportunity. Some of the University’s newest programs include the following:

  • UK Law Program: A new dual degree program providing students with the opportunity to complete their BA or BSc and LLB in just six years.

  • Biomedical Science: A multidisciplinary BSc with a rigorous fourth-year internship in a medical or health-care related setting.

  • A Business School with a Difference: Trent students can combine Finance, Accounting, Management, Entrepreneurship, HR, Information Systems and E-Commerce with just about any other subject – arts or science.

  • Indigenous Bachelor of Education: The first Indigenous concurrent BEd program of its kind in North America, putting Aboriginal knowledge and perspectives at the forefront of teacher training.

  • Bachelor of Environmental Science/Studies: A Canadian first, designed for students interested in bridging the sciences and arts to approach global environment issues.

  • Child and Youth Studies BA: Places the themes of play and creativity at the forefront of understanding child and youth development.

  • Communications and Critical Thinking BA: A new breed of communications degrees focused on problem-solving and strategic thinking.

Note: Our Child and Youth Studies BA and Communications and Critical Thinking BA are both exclusively offered at Trent’s Durham campus in Oshawa.
