Special Characteristics

  • Conrad Grebel University College is affiliated with, and located at, the University of Waterloo.
  • Grebel offers undergraduate courses in Church Music and Worship, English, Fine Arts, History, Mennonite Studies, Music, Peace and Conflict Studies, Philosophy, Religious Studies, and Sociology. Grebel hosts the Music and Peace and Conflict Studies departments for the University.
  • Grebel also has a residence that houses 142 Waterloo students each term in a dynamic community.
  • All students who live and study at Conrad Grebel University College take classes at and graduate from the University of Waterloo.
  • In both the residence and classrooms at Grebel, you will find students from all faculties at Waterloo. Some take most of their classes at Grebel, while others just take 1 or 2 that are of special interest.
  • Over 4,000 Waterloo students take classes at Grebel each year, making it a diverse community. In the residence, approximately 50% of the students are Mennonite, and the rest come from a variety of backgrounds.
