Two Styles to Choose From

Suite Style

Each furnished suite accommodates 4 students and has single rooms, a kitchen with a fridge and stove, a living room and 2 full bathrooms. There are 3 suite-style residences: Founders House, Chancellors House and Governors House. Founders and Chancellors Houses are located at the bottom of the College Drive hill – only a short walk or a 3-minute bus ride to your classes. Governors House is located across from the athletics facilities, at the top of the hill.

Townhouse Style

The townhouses are located beside the main building at the top of College Drive, and can accommodate 6 students to a house. Built on 2 levels, each furnished townhouse has a kitchen with a fridge and stove, a living room, 3 bedrooms and a 2-piece bathroom on the main floor. The upper-level contains 3 more bedrooms, a full 4-piece bathroom and an open loft space. This style is usually set aside for upper-year students.

Residence Guarantee

Space in residence is guaranteed to high school students who are offered full-time admission by May 29. The remaining spaces are chosen by lottery. A residence brochure with information on how to apply for residence is sent with the admission offer. The residence application and residence deposit must be received by June 3.

Meal plans are not mandatory. You may select from a range of options to customize your meal plan. Plans work on a declining balance.

Nipissing University is excited to offer 4 vibrant Living Learning Communities (LLC) – Connect, Balance, LEAD (Leaders Emerging through Active Development) and Mosaic. An LLC is the intergration of students who share similar interests – academic subject, hobby or curiousity – into a residence community with programming and support from various areas within the institution and community.
